SEED RESTAURANT

Seed Restaurant was designed as a space shaped by the journey of two women entrepreneurs moving from Istanbul to Fethiye. The project takes inspiration from the idea of a seed, translating themes of growth, transformation, and connection to nature into a spatial narrative. The rhythm of the Mediterranean coast informed decisions related to scale, atmosphere, and material presence.

Local materiality guided the design approach. Green terracotta ceramic surfaces, earthy tones, and handcrafted lighting elements were composed to create a warm environment that evolves throughout the day with natural light. Plants were considered as living layers within the space, establishing continuity and a sense of gradual growth. The spatial organization supports a fluid experience extending from daytime dining to sunset gatherings and evening use.

A site specific art installation inspired by seeds, developed in collaboration with a female artist, acts as a subtle focal point within the interior. Seed Restaurant proposes a calm and refined dining atmosphere, aligned with Fethiye’s natural context and seasonal culture, encouraging a shared and grounded hospitality experience.
