SO HOUSE

The SO House, located in Zekeriyaköy, was designed by Toros and Partners as a comprehensive residential project including façade, landscape, and interior design. The primary request of the family was to create a spacious and breathable living environment. Spatial planning focused on natural light, fluid transitions between spaces, and balanced proportions, shaping a home aligned with the lifestyle of a young and design-oriented family.

Material and color decisions played a defining role in establishing the interior atmosphere. A custom blue tone introduced in the kitchen brings a calm yet vibrant identity to the space, while the neoclassical fireplace and adjacent reading corner create a quieter focal point within the living area. Extensive storage and display solutions were integrated throughout the house, responding to the family’s large book collection with built-in elements extending from the TV unit to custom furniture details. Artworks by Ali Alışır and Mehmet Gün add a cultural layer, enriching the spatial narrative.

Lighting selections feature Contardi fixtures, complemented by Enne furniture and curated imported pieces. The fireplace was custom-produced by Hürsan, becoming a central architectural element within the living space. On the exterior, a terracotta-toned façade introduces warmth and energy while strengthening the relationship between architecture and landscape, creating a cohesive residential atmosphere connected to its natural surroundings.
