The store designed for the Esma Dereboy brand was approached as a spatial interpretation of craft-based production. Developed by Toros and Partners, the design drew inspiration from the brand’s ceramic language and narrative, aiming to shape the space not only as a retail environment but as a setting reflecting the character of making.
Custom-made ceramics produced specifically for Esma Dereboy were treated as primary architectural elements within the project. Bespoke wall ceramic applications and lighting elements developed using the same material language were designed to express the brand’s craftsmanship and material sensitivity. The tactile quality of ceramics was combined with soft earth tones, with the intention of creating a warm, natural, and timeless atmosphere. The spatial composition was developed to provide a calm yet characterful background that allows the products to remain in focus. A restrained palette, handmade surfaces, and subtle transitions were intended to strengthen the visitor’s relationship with material and texture.
