Serafina is part of a global chain of Italian restaurants, with locations around the world, combining the rich artistic tradition and gastronomic heritage of Italian culture with a modern approach. The design draws its primary inspiration from Italy’s renowned mosaic art, with the elegance of this craft evident in the intricate details found throughout the space. The interior features olive trees and carefully selected mosaic surfaces, which evoke the warmth of Italian culture with a natural touch while simultaneously offering a modern aesthetic.
The design of Serafina emphasizes a strong sense of connection between spaces. Inspired by the relationship between the golf course and the restaurant, a lighting installation has been designed to represent the dynamic movements of a golf ball. This installation extends across the ceiling, creating a sense of movement and rhythm at the heart of the space, seamlessly integrating the spirit of golf with art within the interior. The lighting installation serves both as a visual focal point and as a symbolic element in the architectural design of the restaurant.
At the core of the Serafina project is the guest experience. Special drinking areas have been created in certain sections of the space, offering visitors a cozy and intimate atmosphere where they feel at home. Positioned near the entrance, the open pizza oven and kitchen area create a visual focal point, transforming the richness of Italian cuisine into a performance art. This design approach not only highlights the dining experience but also aims to bring the traditions and authenticity of Italian cuisine to the forefront, adding a layer of cultural interaction to the space.
The color palette throughout the interior is inspired by Italy’s nature and gardens. Large glass façades bring the refreshing views of the golf course into the restaurant, strengthening the connection between the interior and the open space. Throughout the design process, the goal was to offer guests an unforgettable spatial experience by combining the warmth, elegance, and natural textures of Italian culture.
